How To Make

One

Tip the flour in to a mixing bowl and make a hollow in the middle of the pile.

Two

Add the yeast and salt.

Three

Pour some warm water into the hollow in the flour and mix together using your hands to make nice, smooth dough. If it’s too sticky add a little more flour. If it’s too dry, add a little more water.

Four

Sprinkle a little flour over your work surface. Take the dough out of the mixing bowl and knead it. The more you knead it and stretch it the better the dough gets.

Five

Clean your mixing bowl by wiping around the inside with a piece of kitchen paper dipped in cooking oil. Place your kneaded dough in the bowl and cover with a clean tea towel or cling film and leave the dough in a warm place so that it can rise. This will take about 25 minutes.

Six

Preheat your oven to its highest setting and put a large baking tray in the oven to get it nice and hot.

Seven

Sprinkle flour on your work surface and flatten your dough out on it until it is about 30cm round.

Eight

Using oven gloves, take out the oven tray. Be careful – it will be very hot! Place it on a heatproof surface and sprinkle a little flour onto it.

Nine

Carefully lay your dough onto the tray.

Ten

Spread your sauce over the dough, followed by your favourite toppings from the list above.

Eleven

Pop your pizza in the oven and bake for about 8 minutes or until the dough is crisp and golden and the cheese has melted.

Twelve

Enjoy!
